A Little About Iqra – Islamic Qalb Tuition Founder:
My name is Iqra, and I am a UK-born female Quran teacher with over ten years of experience. Who offers online lessons to students in the East of England and across the United Kingdom. Before founding Islamic Qalb Tuition, I spent five years learning to teach and reciting the Quran in several masjids in the United Kingdom. I had the privilege of learning from several renowned Quran teachers.
While at the masjid, I learned to teach the Quran to children and was praised for my caring and personalised approach. I took the time to understand each student’s needs, adapting my methods to make learning an engaging and enjoyable experience. I always prioritise quality over quantity, focusing on correct pronunciation and a true understanding of the Quran, not just speed.
I started Islamic Qalb Tuition because I wanted to offer a welcoming and supportive learning environment to adult women, reverts, and children across the United Kingdom. My goal is not just to teach, but to help you develop a lifelong love for reciting the Quran in a confident and beautiful manner. What I Teach:
My teaching is designed to build a strong foundation for Quran recitation and understanding, starting from the very basics and progressing steadily. Everything is taught in accordance with the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
- Arabic Alphabet & Qaida: We’ll start with the fundamentals, teaching you to recognize and correctly pronounce each letter, laying the essential groundwork for proper Quran recitation.
- Tajweed: You will learn and apply all the rules for correct Quranic pronunciation and articulation, ensuring your recitation is beautiful and accurate.
- Quran Recitation & Memorisation: We’ll work to develop your fluency and accuracy in reading the Quran and assist you with memorising important Surahs, Kalimas, and Duas.
- Fundamentals of Being a Muslim: For children and revert sisters, we provide an introduction to the five pillars of Islam and other important aspects of faith, providing you with the fundamentals to live successfully as Muslims.

We offer online Quran classes to children aged 5-16 in the East of England with a caring, friendly, and kind female teacher. Our group classes are intentionally kept small to ensure each child receives the personal attention they need. Lessons are provided online and take place on weekdays between 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
My goal is to do more than just teach children how to recite the Quran correctly; I want to help them develop a deep love for recitation and make it a consistent, lifelong habit. I strive to make every lesson engaging, encouraging, and fun, providing a space where your child can step away from daily pressures and strengthen their connection with Allah (SWT).
My lessons are tailored for all abilities, from absolute beginners learning Alif, Baa, and Taa, to those who are already proficient and wish to improve. I focus on developing a child’s pronunciation, fluency, and accuracy, while also teaching them the fundamentals of living as a successful Muslim, including various surahs, Kalimas, and duas.
